Seongdangmot  Lake 성당못

Much lesser known than Suseongmot Lake, however, Seongdangmot Lake deserves our attention as much we pay to Suseongmot Lake. The lake got its name from the name of the area it is located, “Seongdang-dong.” Surprisingly, the lake was created back in Joseon Dynasty after a national topography expert(국풍) recognized it as a spot with great energy where a future king would be born. So, the nation made lake to prevent people from building houses.

It is now a beloved place for resident in Nam-gu area. The famous Duryu Park, a venue used for varous city-wise events and festivals, is located right next to the lake. Google Seongdangmot Lake or Duryu Park, you will see lots of green surrounding the area.

Suseongmot Lake 수성못

Suseongmot Lake is such a popular spot for people of all ages and nationalities. The lake itself provides a soothing and relaxing place. Duck pedal boats, busking musicians, dog walking, couples on date and Suseong Land(a small amusement park) are some of the scenes that symbolize this place. During warmer time of the year, you can also enjoy musical fountains at night. Also, It is popular for the adjacent area filled with nice restaurants, bars and cafes. On Friday evening, people constantly come in to enjoy their “bulgeum 불금(get the most our of Friday)”
