2018 Daegu International Marathon | Korea's IAAF Silver Label road race


The past Sunday in Daegu was full of festivity! Daegu International Marathon finally took place on a beautiful sunny Sunday with historical record of 15,561 participants from 12 different countries! It also marked 10th race since it was promoted as IAAF Silver Label road race. Everyone gathered here at Gukchaebosang Memorial Park where a number of city events happen throughout the year!



Today is the day
Whether amateurs or professional marathoners, they all look excited!


There were many families, friends, club members and co-workers who participated together.  



Before the marathon
There were fun performances to celebrate the festivity. One of the things that captured people’s attention was an electric car that was used for guiding runners. You can see that Daegu Metropolitan City strive to be the leading city for future vehicles!;)


Also, there were policemen and firefighters from place to place to accommodate a safe festival.

Excitedly, three professional runners set the game records. All those players are from Kenya. The first runner finished his race at 2:06:29.



After the marathon
We could still see people hanging around at Gukchaebosang Memorial Park because they were watching performance, doing hand-on experiences and eating snacks. If you weren't here this year, make sure to come out in 2019!
